As the Room inspector, you will be required to pay close attention to detail when inspecting the guest rooms prior to the guest’s arrival as well as determining that the room meets the companies’ standards with cleanliness. This includes assisting housekeepers with any additional cleaning duties that are required.
This is a full-time seasonal position. The start date for this position is April 1st, 2023 and the hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Job Responsibilities:
- Schedule and inspect all assigned guest rooms and public areas
- Clean guest rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and stocking supply closets
- Replenish guest amenities daily with branded supplies
- Check and verify items in guest rooms are in good working order i.e. TV’s, remotes, lights, clocks, hairdryers, coffee pots, AC/heating, and phones.
- Delete all old messages if phone is blinking
- Deep clean rooms as needed
- Report any potential maintenance issues in a timely manner
- Ensuring housekeeping equipment is in good working condition, i.e. carts, vacuums, mops, etc.
- Turn in all lost and found items to Housekeeping management the same day found
- Supports the hotel in achieving high performance levels in service and profitability
- Responds to guest requests in a timely and courteous manner
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Skills Required:
Ability to work well with others (i.e. interacts appropriately with guests and staff). Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks safely and in a timely manner. Ability to learn and adapt to change. Excellent customer service skills and high attention to detail.
Experience / Education:
Previous experience as a housekeeper required. High School diploma and/or equivalent work experience.
Schedule:
Work may be performed on any day of the week from Sunday through Saturday. May be required to work over weekends and on holidays.
Physical Demands:
This is a physically demanding job that requires extended periods of walking, standing, bending, squatting, lifting, twisting, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, using various cleaning chemicals and lifting of up to 40lbs. 40+ lbs. carry weight to be handled with additional person. Extended workdays may be required to accomplish tasks and meet workload demands during peak periods.
